ISO 9001 success!
The team at CPH2 are celebrating their success in the company becoming certified to ISO 9001:2015.
ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). It shows that we have been assessed and certified to provide confidence to our customers, suppliers and other stakeholders that they can do business with us with confidence.
Ian Pillay, CPH2’s Development Director said: “It’s been a steep learning curve for us, but in a way a lot easier than it could have been”. Ian continued “As a young company, we had our systems in place but not yet certified, so it was easier to develop and implement new procedures rather than completely rewrite them to be compliant to ISO 9001”. Ian continued “At CPH2 we work as a team, with safety and procedure at the heart of what we do. This is a huge pat on the back for all of us”.
ISO 9001 is a three-step process commencing with a Gap Analysis which identifies any differences between our own QMS and compares it with the requirements of the standard. The Formal Assessment is stage 2 in which our systems are checked for readiness for implementation and areas identified that need to be improved before the final stage of Certification can take place. Once certification is received it is valid for 3 years, subject to surveillance visits.
