CPH2 rides the waves with AFCryo
Clean Power Hydrogen Group Ltd, the Doncaster manufacturer of the unique Membrane-Free Electrolyser™, continues its market growth with an order from New Zealand company AFCryo.
Clean Power Hydrogen Group Ltd (CPH2) has won the order for an MFE220 1MW Membrane-Free Electrolyser™, marking the third order the company has received recently, following the announcements that Octopus Hydrogen and NI Water have also placed orders with the innovative green tech company.
AFCryo has been working with Emirates Team New Zealand to facilitate the power train for a hydrogen-powered foiling chase boat for the 37th America’s Cup. This exciting new project has stimulated substantial interest in the use of hydrogen as a transport fuel and has seen AFCryo place an order for an MFE electrolyser to ensure hydrogen is available in both quantity and quality for this initiative.
Jon Duffy, Chairman & CEO, CPH2, said, “We’ve always believed that our technology is a game-changer, but to receive this latest order from AFCryo, is just the icing on the cake. It proves how diverse the transition to a hydrogen economy will be if we are now crossing the boundaries from everyday use into the elite sports arena.” Jon continued, “Following orders from the UK, Northern Ireland, and now New Zealand we have firmly established our place in the global electrolyser market.”
Hugh Reynolds, Technical Director, AFCryo said, “AFCryo and CPH2 have been working collaboratively to develop and market the unique and ground-breaking hydrogen production technology. It is a testament to the knowledge and expertise in both companies that we attracted such interest from Emirates Team New Zealand. Involvement in this challenging project will contribute to the transition to a carbon-neutral economy from a completely different angle.”
The MFE220 1MW Membrane-Free Electrolyser will produce up to 451kg/day of green hydrogen when supplied with renewable electricity as well as up to 3609kg/day of medical-grade oxygen.
