Second stage of factory acceptance tests completed
CPH2 is pleased to announce the completion of Level 2 of the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for its MFE110 electrolyser.
Following the successful Level 1 FAT announced at the end of June, the Level 2 FAT verified functionality of the MFE110 electrolyser and included end-to-end checks of control loops, electrical and mechanical plant, instrument calibration, and electrical installations in accordance with requirements. Functional testing of Programmable Logic Control functions on the physical system to demonstrate correct operation according to parameters was also completed. Lagan MEICA, the Principal Contractor, and Arup, representative for Northern Ireland Water independently witnessed these checks.
This milestone marks the second of three stages within the FAT. The Company is now proceeding with the Level 3 FAT, the final testing procedure. This last stage will involve a formal demonstration of operation and performance and again will be witnessed by Lagan MEICA, and Arup.
The Level 1 FAT completed in June signified a crucial part of the testing procedure verifying that mechanical and electrical components are checked for completion, confirmed that all documentation is in order, and that the MFE’s design and build is aligned to the documentation and compliant to relevant safety standards.
“We continue to make solid, positive progress with another FAT stage successfully completed, and have now moved on to the final stage: Level 3 of the MFE110 FAT. As we reach this crucial turning point, I would like to extend my gratitude to our staff, shareholders and partners for their ongoing support during the FAT process, especially Lagan MEICA for their guidance. We look forward to updating the market once we have reached commercialisation in due course.”
Jon Duffy, CEO of Clean Power Hydrogen
Completing all three stages of FAT for the MFE110 will be the first customer acceptance and validation of CPH2’s scaled electrolyser, marking a historic moment for Membrane-Free Technology™. This achievement is a significant milestone in the Company’s route to market and a testament to our collective efforts and dedication.
”We are encouraged by the progress made by the CPH2 team and the positive reports back from our principal contractor Lagan MEICA and engineering representative, Arup. We look forward to the Level 3 FAT test, prior to deployment to our site in Belfast.”
