The Rt Hon Edward Miliband and Sally Jameson visit CPH2 to discuss Membrane-Free Electrolyser™ technology in Doncaster
The Rt Hon Edward Miliband, Labour MP for Doncaster North and Shadow Secretary of State for Climate Change and Net Zero, alongside Sally Jameson, Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate for Doncaster Central at the upcoming general election, visited Clean Power Hydrogen’s (“CPH2”) facility in Doncaster to observe the Company’s operations to understand its crucial role in growing the UK’s hydrogen economy.
CPH2 is a UK-based green hydrogen technology and manufacturing group that has developed the IP-protected Membrane-Free Electrolyser™ designed to deliver a modular solution to the hydrogen production market in a cost-effective, scalable, reliable and long-lasting manner.
CEO Jon Duffy welcomed Miliband and Jameson to take a tour of the Company’s R&D and production facility, showcasing the 1MW Membrane-Free Electrolysers™ in production. They were also introduced to members of the talented team from Doncaster, including engineers, apprentices and office staff.
In his role as Shadow Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Miliband expressed a particular interest in CPH2’s sustainable ethos and manufacturing approach, central to the firm’s strategy. Notably, CPH2 recently achieved ISO 14001 certification for Environmental Management Systems and received the London Stock Exchange’s Green Economy Mark, recognising the Company’s commitment to the global green economy.
Reflecting on the visit, The Rt Hon Edward Miliband said,
“The strides made by CPH2’s technology and team in Doncaster signify robust progress in the UK’s pursuit of a sustainable future. Hydrogen, crucial for achieving the UK’s net zero ambitions, represents an industry poised to create new skilled British jobs, enhance energy security, and drive economic growth. Firms like CPH2 showcase the transformative power of green hydrogen, actively making a difference here and now in Doncaster, providing jobs and shaping a more sustainable future for all. I look forward to tracking the company’s successes and extend my best wishes as they continue to facilitate green hydrogen production throughout the UK.”
Jon Duffy, CEO of Clean Power Hydrogen, commented:
It was a pleasure to host and engage with the Rt Hon Edward Miliband and Sally Jameson. Their support for Doncaster and the UK in the development of hydrogen-generated electricity is very significant to CPH2’s strategic goals. Green hydrogen is vital for the UK to reach its net-zero carbon target and our Membrane-Free Electrolyser™ represents the most sustainable way of producing the clean fuel of the future, using renewably generated electricity and the significant pool of talent we have at CPH2.”
